Michael Hersrud is an Associate Professor of Graphic Design at Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar, now in his 9th year at the university and 12th year of working full-time in academia. His scholarship investigates methods and processes relative to both teaching and making. The research outcomes often focus on a variety of domains including playful interactions, experimental image production, collaborative conditions, cultural context, and 'extra-disciplinary’ design praxis.
